She once gave the most impressive explanation of the comparative qualities and characteristics of various landscaping stones. Her knowledge is vast. She is a dedicated advocate. She will learn your style and your values, and will get a sense of what you want and then do a lot of legwork for you so you don't waste your time on houses that are not your style. When you find the house you want, she will counsel you to make the most competitive bid you can within your budget. Her advice is always trustworthy and ethical. When I once wanted to continue looking after I'd made a bid, she explained to us how that wasn't a good idea because a bid is a promise and if you step out on that promise, it compromises your name. House-buying is a long process, you want to maintain your reputation and your good word. Christine is committed to getting you the house you've chosen no matter how long it takes. She stuck with me for over a year as I learned what I wanted and finally found the house of my dreams in an unfortunate short-sale. When I told her this was it, this was the one I was waiting for, she proceeded to educate me on the short-sale process and to prepare me for all the hardships it entails. Short-sales are notoriously heartbreaking, and there are always more obstacles than you anticipate. Christine persevered, and her advocacy was stronger than ever. She is diligent and tenacious and is always in your corner making sure you are getting a fair deal. She quickly figured out what exactly we were looking for and that combined with her extensive knowledge of the Bay Area helped us narrow down the houses we were interested in. She patiently guided us through the process but gave us the space to make our own decisions and always supported them. Her communication was excellent and she was always available to answer our questions or discuss potential offers (even responding to our emails late at night!). So, in October, I contacted Rainmaker through their website, and wasn't expecting much because I had just been 'rejected' by quite a few Realtors® in the area (because I was looking for relocation guidance and interested in leasing initially). I was pleasantly surprised to get an e-mail back in just minutes by Alex Wang, the owner(?) of Rainmaker. Alex then put me in touch with Christine, whom I heard from in a matter of minutes too. Alex suggested Christine because of my interest in renting or leasing a place for the short-term -- Christine can do all real estate transactions but she has specific expertise and specialization in property management too. Her experience with the market and knowledge of the south bay had proved me wrong. During the time when I was looking, the market was not exactly in favor for the type of buyer I was. I experienced almost every scenario was possible for a first time home buyer with more than 9 offers and over one year of search. Christine restlessly agreed to show me places that interested me. She would write up offers even when we were in extremely competitive situations. Nine month into the process, we tried offering on all types of homes and had no luck of moving further. Christine remained patient with me and suggested new areas that I was not familiar with. Three months later, I got my current home. The search process was long and unpredictable, but it was totally worth it. I did not think it would be possible to own a place in the valley at my age. But with the right help, at the right place and right time, it is the greatest thing had happened.
